GRACE (Goals, Return to Activities, Connect, Engage)

GRACE (Goals, Return to Activities, Connect, Engage) is funded by the BOOST Contract provided by the NYC Department for the Aging (Contract # CT1-125-20268800399).

The GRACE intervention targets depression and anxiety reported by victims. It is based on trauma-informed care and uses a personalized framework. The GRACE therapy combines evidence-based strategies to empower the client to take steps to reduce symptoms, increase their functioning, and protect themselves. GRACE weaves together several evidence-based strategies (e.g., alliance building, goal setting) and integrates them with “Behavioral Activation” and “Engage & Connect” (E&C) therapies – two evidence-based therapeutic approaches that are transdiagnostic. GRACE services are offered to elder abuse victims referred by agencies funded by NYC Department for the Aging and crime victims served by The Elderly Crime Victims Resources Center at NYC Aging.
